    Don't see your course? Contact the instructor to find out if/when he or she intends to make the course available to students. Not all instructors use Blackboard, and some that do may not activate the course until the semester starts.

    Blackboard New Features:

    We have many new tools available with Service Pack 14.

    Some of the new tools include:

    LockDown Browser

    Use either Internet Explorer (PC) or Safari (Mac) to correctly set your browser settings before using the Respondus LockDown browser.

    LockDown Browser is a secure browser that prevents the user from printing, copying, going to another URL, or accessing other applications during a test. If a Blackboard test requires you to use LockDown Browser, you will not be able to take the test with any other web browser. If you are unsure whether or not LockDown Browser is required for your test please ask your instructor.

    NOTE: LockDown Browser should be used only for taking Blackboard tests. It should not be used in other areas of Blackboard.

  • Student Enrollments and Course Availability

    Student enrollments have been entered into Spring 2015 courses in Blackboard.  Please remember that your students will not see the courses until you make them available.  Instructions for making your course available can be found here.  

    Courses will be made unavailable to students to students approximately two weeks after the end of the semester. Instructors will still have access to these courses.  If you have students who are working on incompletes or need access these course sites, please submit a ticket to the online helpdesk (http://www.fau.edu/helpdesk) to let us know (be sure to include the full course ID with section# and/or CRN and the names of the students who need access).

    Moving Previous Course Contents:

    If you would like to move the contents of a previous course over to your new course site, you can follow these instructions.

    Blackboard Support

    If you encounter any problems while using Blackboard, click on the "?" (Help) icon at the top of the screen. You can also submit your own help ticket by clicking on the "Submit a ticket". Log on using your FAUNetID and password.

    System & Network Status

    System Maintenance

    OIT performs system maintenance Thursdays 3:00 a.m. - 7:00 a.m. During these times users may experience slow performance or receive intermittent system errors.

    The network group reserves 5-7 a.m., Monday-Wednesday and Friday for its maintenance. OIT will make every effort to notify the University community of all planned service/network interruptions.
